Yard waste and grass clippings accepted at the landfill are composted in windrows. The compost is screened and made available to the public each spring at no cost.

  • Compost is available for residential use only.
  • Residents need to go through the scale as normal and let the scale clerks know they are there for compost.
  • Residents must self-load compost

Please note: The County is unable to track or know if yard waste materials were treated with chemicals or if they were exposed to plant diseases (example-Tar Spot of Maple).
