Broome County Reminds Residents to Complete the 2024 Hazard Mitigation Plan Update Public Survey

(BROOME COUNTY, N.Y.) – Broome County is seeking public input to develop the 2024 Hazard Mitigation Plan Update. Residents are asked to share their opinion by completing a survey no later than end of day Friday, January 26, 2024.

Recent hazard events including this weekend’s snowstorm as well the flood and wind advisories are reminders of why it is important for communities to plan for natural hazards. This survey is designed to gather information and allow community members to share their experiences, knowledge, and concerns about natural hazards that affect the community.

To participate in the survey, go to: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/BroomePublicSurvey.

Your input is essential to the County and its municipalities to better understand local concerns and issues facing our residents and to help inform and prioritize the mitigation strategies and actions aimed at lessening the impacts of future disasters and reducing losses.

The survey takes about 10-15 minutes to complete.
