Broome County Health Department Issues Public Health Statement October 23

(BROOME COUNTY, NY) The Broome County Health Department has learned a person who was on B.C. Transit bus #57 on October 17th and 21st and bus #53 on October 19th has tested positive for COVID-19. 

If you on bus #57 on October 17th between 11 a.m. and 12 p.m. or 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. or October 21st between 10:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. or bus #53 on October 19th between 6:00 a.m. and 7 a.m. or 4:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. we ask you to self-quarantine until 14 days after the respective date. 

You should self-quarantine if you were at location during that dates/time for 10 or more minutes. Contact your healthcare provider if you develop symptoms.

Broome County officials remind you to wash your hands, wear your facial coverings and continue to maintain social distancing. If you feel sick and do not need immediate assistance, please contact your healthcare provider via phone or virtual health with questions prior to heading to the emergency room.
