Broome County Health Department Issues Public Health Statements October 22

(BROOME COUNTY, NY) The Broome County Health Department has learned a person who was on B.C. Transit bus #35 on October 15th and 16th has tested positive for COVID-19. 

If you on that bus on either of those days between 5:50 a.m. and 6:10 a.m. or between 3:30 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. we ask you to self-quarantine until 14 days after the respective date. 

The Broome County Health Department has also learned a person who was at Taphouse 66, located at 66 North Broad Street in Johnson City, on October 15th and 19th has tested positive for COVID-19. 

If you were at that location on either of those days between 6:00 p.m. and close. we ask you to self-quarantine until 14 days after the respective date. 

The Broome County Health Department has also learned a person who was at Gregg’s Big M Supermarket, located on Rural Route 11 in Whitney Point, on October 14th and 15th has tested positive for COVID-19. 

If you were at that location on October 14th between 6:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. or October 15th between 6:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. we ask you to self-quarantine until 14 days after the respective date.  

You should self-quarantine if you were at location during that dates/time for 10 or more minutes. Contact your healthcare provider if you develop symptoms.

Broome County officials remind you to wash your hands, wear your facial coverings and continue to maintain social distancing. If you feel sick and do not need immediate assistance, please contact your healthcare provider via phone or virtual health with questions prior to heading to the emergency room.
