Broome County Health Department Issues Public Health Statement November 27

(BROOME COUNTY, NY) The Broome County Health Department has learned a person who was at American Legion Post 974, located on 119th St in Whitney Point, on November 21st has tested positive for COVID-19. 

If you were at that location on November 21st between 1:30 p.m. and 3:00 p.m., we ask you to self-quarantine until December 6th.

The Broome County Health Department has also learned a person who was at the Octagon Inn, located at 3699 State Route 26 in Glen Aubrey, on November 21st has tested positive for COVID-19. 

If you were at that location on November 21st between 3:00 p.m. and 6:30 p.m., we ask you to self-quarantine until December 6th.

You should self-quarantine if you were at a location during the date/time for 10 or more minutes. Contact your healthcare provider if you develop symptoms.  

Testing is available for all New Yorkers at the NYS drive through testing site at Binghamton University. To make an appointment call 1-888-364-3065.

Broome County officials remind you to wash your hands, wear your facial coverings and continue to maintain social distancing.
