Broome County Health Department Issues Public Health Statement November 17

(BROOME COUNTY, NY) The Broome County Health Department has learned a person who was on a B.C. Transit Bus has tested positive for COVID-19. 

On November 11th if you were on bus route 47 between 12:25 p.m. and 5:45 p.m. or route 17 between 1:10 p.m. and 5:10 p.m. we ask you to self-quarantine until November 26th. On November 12th if you were on bus route 47 between 8:25 a.m. and 4:25 p.m. or route 17 between 9:10 a.m. and 3:50 p.m. we ask you to self-quarantine until November 27th respectively.  

You should self-quarantine if you were at the location during the date/time for 10 or more minutes. Contact your healthcare provider if you develop symptoms. 

Testing is available for all New Yorkers at the NYS drive through testing site at Binghamton University. To make an appointment call 1-888-364-3065.

Broome County officials remind you to wash your hands, wear your facial coverings and continue to maintain social distancing. If you feel sick and do not need immediate assistance, please contact your healthcare provider via phone or virtual health with questions prior to heading to the emergency room.
