(BINGHAMTON, NY) Broome County Executive Jason Garnar announced today the appointment of Michael Decker as Broome County Director of Real Property Tax Services.
County Executive Garnar said, “I’m excited to announce my selection of Michael Decker as Broome County Director of Real Property Tax Services. Decker brings years of experience and knowledge to this position. We’re excited for him to take on this role.”
Decker fills this position after the retirement of former Broome County Director of Real Property Tax Services David Hamlin.
Decker has been a New York State Licensed Real Estate Broker since 1978. He operated Decker Real Estate business from 1987-2019. He has sold, leased, and appraised vacant land, industrial, commercial, residential, recreational and farms for attorneys, individuals, limited liability companies and major corporations like IBM, Raymond Corporation and Citibank.
The Broome County Real Property Tax Services Director appointment was approved by the Broome County Legislature in the September session.
“I look forward to serving Broome County and applying my vast years of experience to this new position,” said Decker. “I’m honored to take on this new role.”
