Michael Carbone Receives Star at Forum Theatre
(BINGHAMTON, NY) – Broome County Executive Jason Garnar joined the Friends of the Forum to announce Michael Carbone as the next recipient of a star on the Wall of Fame at the Forum Theatre. Carbone is leader of the local band “Splash” and jazz quartet “Miles Ahead.”
He retired as a coordinator of music and teacher at Johnson City High School in 2015, and from Binghamton University as an adjunct professor and jazz director in 2023. Carbone is the curator of enJOY Jazz at the Schorr Family Firehouse Stage, and the Music Coordinator of the Music and Jazz Festival at Binghamton’s July Fest.
