(BINGHAMTON, NY) – Broome County, in partnership with the City of Binghamton and the New York State Department of State, invites neighborhood residents, business owners, and stakeholders to attend the first public meeting for the Brandywine Growth District Brownfield Opportunity Area (BOA) Predevelopment Activities Project. This project builds upon previous planning efforts completed during the 2013 BOA Nomination Study.
This is your opportunity to learn about the project and share your ideas. The event will be held on Thursday, June 5, 2025, from 6:00 to 7:30 PM at Centenary-Chenango Street United Methodist Church, located at 438 Chenango Street (corner of Allen Street), Binghamton. Free parking is available on-site (enter from Allen Street) or on-street.
Members of a multi-disciplinary urban planning team led by Fisher Associates will introduce the Brandywine Growth District BOA, a 158-acre industrial area on the northeast side of Binghamton. The consultants will provide an overview of the revitalization project, preliminary findings, and opportunities for community input. Attendees are encouraged to share their ideas and vision for transforming the area into a vibrant, sustainable, and economically productive district. Fisher Associates is the lead consultant on the project, with additional support from Kevin Dwarka, LLC and Idea Kraft.
Can’t make the meeting? There are other opportunities to share your input! A survey is available on the project website now open through July 7. Share your thoughts on the future of the Brandywine Growth District.
