(TOWN OF COLESVILLE, NY) – The Broome County Department of Parks, Recreation, and Youth Services will host the 4th Annual Beach Bash at Nathaniel Cole Park on Saturday, August 16, 2025.
This free, family-friendly event kicks off at 2 p.m. with swimming, boating, beach games, and food and drink vendors. Cornell Cooperative Extension will lead a guided walk and pond study. Live music begins at 3 p.m. with Odd Man Out. Additional entertainment will include illusionist David Black, face painting, balloon animals, and Flo in Motion’s hula hoop performance.
At dusk, Parks staff will light fire pits across the beach for marshmallow roasting and s’mores. Once the stars come out, the night will wrap up with a fireworks show over the water.
Food vendors will serve chicken, hot dogs, sausage sandwiches, funnel cakes, ice cream, kettle corn, lemonade, and more. Guests are also welcome to bring their own food and cook on the park’s grills (charcoal and lighter not provided). New Leaf Cider Co. will host a beer garden from 3p.m. to 7 p.m. for guests 21+.
On-site parking is free. BC Transit will provide free round-trip transportation from the Visions Veterans Memorial Arena in Binghamton. Departure times from the Arena are 2:30, 3:30, 4:30, 5:30, 6:30, and 7:30 p.m. Return times from Cole Park are 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 9 p.m. Drivers should expect heavy traffic exiting the park.
Broome Security will be on hand to direct vehicles. Dogs are welcome on a leash in all areas except the beach; owners must clean up after their pets. All Broome County parks are smoke-free except in designated areas (parking lot only). Drones and remote-controlled boats or cars are prohibited.
Vendors include New Leaf Cider Co., Northern Roost, Downtown Danny’s, Here’s the Twist Ice Cream, BnB Kettle Korn, Sugar Lips, Nathaniel Cole Park Concession Stand, and ICED NY.
