(BROOME COUNTY, NY) – Broome County is pleased to announce the recipients of the 2024 Community Beautification & Environmental Stewardship Grant program. This initiative provides mini-grants of up to $2,500 to support projects that enhance public spaces, promote environmental stewardship, and encourage community engagement. This grant helps fund local efforts focused on litter prevention, waste reduction, recycling, beautification, street plantings, composting, or community gardens.
The following recipients have been awarded in 2024:
- City of Binghamton – 434 Greenway Interpretive Signage
- Fenton Free Library Association – TerraCycle, Shed Extensions & Waste Reduction Project
- Chenango Forks Central School District – CF Watershed Restoration
- Binghamton City School District – Binghamton Spring Clean-Up Day
Broome County is committed to supporting local initiatives that enhance our communities and protect our environment,” said Broome County Executive Jason Garnar. “These grants give people the opportunity to take action, whether through beautification projects, waste reduction, or environmental awareness, all of which contribute to a cleaner and more sustainable county.”

The program, which is open to communities, non-profits, and schools, accepts applications on a rolling basis.
