(BROOME COUNTY, NY) – The following work is scheduled on Broome County roadways beginning Monday, August 18th.

  • Paving on Hooper Road – County Route 033 (from Country Club Road to Taft Avenue), expect delays
  • Paving on Hale Eddy/River Road – County Route 249 (from Oquaga Lake Road to Pennsylvania Line)
  • Paving on Stateline Road – County Route 225 (from Old Route 17 to the Pennsylvania Line)
  • Cleaning ditches and rebuilding shoulders on Bevier Street, Stratmill Road, Old State Road, Colesville Road & North Street
  • Culvert work on Stratmill Road, Old State Road, North Street & Hyde Street
  • Grader patching on Dunham Hill Road
  • Guide rail repairs on Bunn Hill Road, Smith Hill Road & Broome County Airport Road
  • Mowing right of way on several county roads
  • Painting on various county roads

Motorists are reminded to use caution in work zones, even when they are not active as some may be modified as constructions progresses. Slowing down is always the most effective way to keep yourself and workers safe. You may also want to give yourself extra time during commutes to accommodate for any detours or change in traffic patterns.
