(JOHNSON CITY, NY) – Caregivers will have an opportunity to enjoy a presentation about Creative Aging on Tuesday, June 11, 2024, at the Johnson City Senior Center (30 Brocton Street, Johnson City). The presentation will be offered by Christina Muscatello from The Memory Maker Project. Memory Maker is a not-for-profit that seeks to spark joy and connection through creative expression with older adults. Christine has worked for many years with people living with memory loss, and their caregivers. She is excited to share her knowledge about building connections through art.
Dinner is available at 4:30 p.m. and the presentation begins at 5:15 p.m. The event requires a reservation for each person attending. Caregivers may come to the dinner and/or presentation with or without the person they care for. For dinner, there will be broccoli cheese stuffed chicken, rice pilaf, a vegetable blend, dinner roll, and strawberry shortcake.
There is a suggested contribution for anyone over the age of 60 and their spouses. For anyone under the age of 60, $5 will be charged for the meal. There is no cost for participation in the caregiver presentation by The Memory Maker. Please call 607-778-2411 by June 7 to reserve a spot for dinner and/or the presentation.
Care receivers are welcome to dinner and activities at the center. During the presentation, care receivers will be nearby in the center enjoying music by Kevin Oriole and other staff lead activities.
