Please be advised that all Broome County civil service examinations scheduled for March 14, 2020 have been postponed. All impacted candidates will be notified at a later time of an alternate test date.

As the New York State Civil Service Commission schedules examinations on a statewide basis, it is very rare for one to be cancelled for any reason. In case of weather or other emergency, the Department of Personnel will place a cancellation announcement on this website and on the following radio stations the morning of the examination:

• WAAL – 99.1 FM
• WWYL – 104.1 FM
• WHWK – 98.1 FM
• WNBF – 1290 AM
• WYOS – 1360 AM

In the event a cancellation does occur, the Broome County Department of Personnel will reschedule the examination and send you another admission letter with the time, date, and location of the rescheduled examination.
