Gear up for the Broome County Parks 2nd Annual Ice Fishing Derby at Greenwood Park! Join us for an exciting day of fishing! 100% pay out for 1st, 2nd and 3rd Place. Winners will be determined by length and weight will be a tie breaker. 30-minute mini derby prizes throughout the day for adults and kids. Registration is limited to 200 angler, we encourage participants to pre-register by emailing your name and number to bcparks@broomecountyny.gov and pay the day of at the event. CASH ONLY!
The event will include concession stand with warm drinks and food for purchase (CASH ONLY) and a warming station. Also, enjoy cross country skiing and snowshoeing, rentals available!
***All participants 16 years or older must have a valid fishing license****
***All participants must adhere to the DEC fishing regulations for New York Stat****
No equipment will be provided at this event. Please bring any necessary equipment you make need. We can assist in digging holes for fishing.
Rules
- Only legal fish caught at Greenwood Park may be entered. This includes crappie, panfish-blue gills/pumpkinseed, and rainbow trout
- No machines on ice which 4 wheelers, snowmobiles, track sleds.
