In 2023, the first Request for Proposals was released, seven agencies were selected to implement their proposed projects. Broome County Health Department funded projects supporting prevention, treatment, and recovery through Addiction Center of Broome County, Hope Foundation of Binghamton, Lourdes Youth Services, Mothers & Babies Perinatal Network, Rural Health Network, Truth Pharm, and United Health Services. Five agencies had programs underway by September and $189,392.58 was awarded by the end of the year.
In 2024, the Broome County Health Department released a second request for proposals allowing three additional agencies that had not been awarded funds in the first round to apply and bring the total organizations receiving funding in 2024 to ten. It was also decided that the projects that started in 2023 would be eligible to apply to continue their work. BCHD OSF funded projects supporting prevention, treatment, and recovery through Addiction Center of Broome County, Family & Children’s Counseling Services, Helio, Hope Foundation of Binghamton, Lourdes Youth Services, Mothers & Babies Perinatal Network, New York State Harm Reduction Association, Rural Health Network, Trail of Truth, Truth Pharm, and United Health Services totaling $807,695.55
As of May 1, 2025, the Broome County Health Department has funded projects supporting prevention, treatment, and recovery with funds awarded to Addiction Center of Broome County, Family & Children’s Counseling Services, Helio, Guthrie Lourdes Youth Services, Mothers & Babies Perinatal Network, Rural Health Network, Southern Tier Aids Program, Truth Pharm, and United Health Services totaling $274,015.79
