You must be a Broome County resident to use the landfill. No out of county waste is accepted. Proof of residency is required. All loads must be covered as per New York State and local law. There will be an automatic $20 charge for all uncovered loads.
OFFSITE ELECTRONICS COLLECTIONS
The Broome County Division of Solid Waste is hosting multiple offsite electronics recycling collections for all Broome County residents in July and August.
Accepted material for recycling includes:
• Computers, Monitors, Printers, TVs, VCRs, Modems, Stereos, Laptops, Keyboards, Radios, Fax Machines, Pagers, Mobile Phones
Items that will not be accepted:
• Countertop Appliances (coffee makers, toasters, can openers, etc.), Batteries, Telephones, Answering Machines, Vacuums, Humidifiers, Smoke Detectors, Large Appliances (dryers, washing machines, dishwashers, refrigerators, air conditioners, etc.)
