From the Broome County Department of Public Works: South Street, a County-owned Road located on in the Town of Barker, will be closed to all traffic starting on November 7, 2022 at 7:00 a.m. for a culvert replacement between the intersections of Cloverdale Road and Pixley Road. It will reopen to traffic on or about 5:00 p.m. on November 11, 2022.

All local traffic will need to seek alternate routes while the road is closed. A signed detour route will not be in place during the closure.

The following work is scheduled on the following Broome County roadways beginning Monday, September 26^th:

• Culvert pipes will be replaced on Dunham Hill, Hale Eddy, Nowlan, & Pierce Creek Rds.
• Patching will occur on Bunn Hill & Cloverdale Rds.
• Ditching will be performed on East Maine, Fox Farm, Nowlan, & Upper Stella Ireland Rds., as well as Park Avenue & Broome Parkway
• The Highway Division trim trees along County roads
• Patching & striping will take place on various County and Town roadways
• Mowing will continue on the right of way along the County roadway system

The following work is scheduled on the following Broome County roadways beginning Tuesday, September 19^th:

• Cold mix paving will take place on Ouaquaga Rd.
• Grader patching will occur on Nowlan Rd. & Chenango St.
• Ditching will be performed on Hale Eddy, Industrial Park, and West Chenango Rds.
• The Highway Division trim trees along County roads
• Patching & striping will take place on various County and Town roadways
• Mowing will continue on the right of way along the County roadway system

The following work is scheduled on the following Broome County roadways beginning Tuesday, September 12^th:

• Culverts will be replaced on Dunham Hill & River Rds.
• Crews will rebuild shoulders on Trim St.
• Ditching will be performed on Caldwell Hill, Hale Eddy, Industrial Park, and Pixley Rds., & Broome Parkway
• Drainage will be repaired on Bunn Hill & Hooper Rds., as well as Maple St.
• The Highway Division will continue clearing roadside hazards & trees
• Patching & striping will take place on various County and Town roadways
• Mowing will continue on the right of way along the County roadway system

The following work is scheduled on the following Broome County roadways beginning Tuesday, September 6^th:

• Culverts will be replaced on Dunham Hill & River Rds.
• Crews will rebuild shoulders on Trim St.
• Ditching will be performed on Beartown, Caldwell Hill, Hale Eddy, Powers, and Pixley Rds., Maple St., & Broome Parkway
• Curbing & blacktop work will occur on Kattelville Rd.
• Trees will be trimmed along Twist Run Rd. Tuesday & Wednesday between Taft Ave. & Nanticoke Dr.
• Patching & striping will take place on various County and Town roadways
• Mowing will continue on the right of way along the County roadway system

The following work is scheduled on the following Broome County roadways beginning Monday, August 29^th:

• Drainage repair will occur on Chenango St., Hale Eddy, & Dunham Hill Rds.
• Crews will rebuild shoulders on Caldwell Hill Rd.
• Ditching will be performed on Airport, Murphy, Hale Eddy River, Powers, and Upper Stella Ireland Rds.
• The Highway Division will clean debris & roadside hazards throughout the County
• Patching & striping will take place on various County and Town roadways
• Mowing will continue on the right of way along the County roadway system

The following work is scheduled on the following Broome County roadways beginning Monday, August 22^nd:

• Paving will take place on Caldwell Hill Rd.
• Drainage repair will occur on Bunn Hill Rd.
• Crews will rebuild shoulders on East Windsor Rd.
• Ditching will be performed on Airport, Center Village Loop, East Windsor, Hale Eddy River, Hawleyton, and Stateline Rds., as well as Park Ave.
• Patching & striping will take place on various County and Town roadways
• Mowing will continue on the right of way along the County roadway system

The following work is scheduled on the following Broome County roadways beginning Monday, August 15^th:

• Twist Run Rd. will be closed Tuesday 8/16 & Wednesday 8/17 for road repairs, ditching, & tree cutting
• The Highway Division will upgrade & replace road culverts on West Chenango Rd.
• Crews will rebuild shoulders on East Windsor Rd., Knapp Hill Rd., & Old Rt. 17
• Ditching will be performed on Old State, Pagebrook, & River Rds. as well as Old Rt. 17
• Patching will take place on Cloverdale Rd.
• Striping will take place on various County and Town roadways
• Mowing will continue on the right of way along the County roadway system

Twist Run Rd., a County-owned road located in the Town of Union, will be closed to all traffic on August 16^th and 17^th for drainage work. The road will be closed from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM on both days.

All local traffic will need to seek alternate routes while the road is closed. A signed detour route will not be in place during the closure.

• The Highway Division will be changing road culverts on Bunn Hill, Conklin Forks, Powers, and West Chenango Rds.
• Crews will rebuild shoulders on Old Rt. 17
• Ditching will be performed on Hale Eddy River, Old State, and Pagebrook Rds. as well as Old Rt. 17
• Patching will continue on various County roads
• Cleaning of road debris and roadside hazards throughout the County
• Striping will take place on various County and Town roadways
• Mowing will continue on the right of way along the County roadway system
