Welcome back to the 5th Annual Lead Education, Advocacy, and Diagnostic Awards! Do you know someone who is helping prevent lead poisoning in Broome County? We want to celebrate them! Nominate a person or organization to receive the prestigious LEADy award!
Maybe a contractor did a great job fixing up your home. Or a nurse went out of their way to make sure your child was comfortable during a blood draw. Or your neighbor warned you about chipping paint on the back porch. Let’s celebrate them! (You can even nominate yourself!)
Winners will be chosen by the Broome County Health Department Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention team. The Lead Education, Advocacy, and Diagnostic Award winners will be announced during International Lead Poisoning Prevention Week. (October 18-24, 2026.) Winners will be invited to an awards ceremony during this week (date TBA) so when you nominate someone, please include a way for us to contact them!
Nominations will be open through Sunday October 4th.
