Cooling Stations Available to Residents

NWS Heat Advisory in Effect Tues-Thurs

(BROOME COUNTY, NY) – The Broome County Office of Emergency Services, Health Department, and Executive’s Office want you to be aware of the cooling stations made available for residents this week, with high temperatures expected over the next several days. The National Weather Service in Binghamton has issued a Heat Advisory in effect from noon, Tuesday June 18, to 8 p.m., Thursday June 20.

Below is a list of places you can go to cool down in Broome County.

Your Home Public Library

Broome County Transit buses are also available to the public to cool off for free beginning Monday (6/17) through Friday (6/21). Reminder that all Broome County parks and beaches are open and free to the public. Parks are open from 8 a.m. to dusk daily, and beach hours are 11 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. daily.
