(BROOME COUNTY, NY) – The following work is scheduled on Broome County roadways beginning Monday, May 13th.
The Highway Division will be:
- Striping to county and town roadways
- Cleaning ditches and repairing shoulders on North Road, River Road, Oakdale Road, & Owen Hill Road
- Making guide rail repairs on Stateline Road
- Filling low shoulders and fixing low driveways on Powers Road
- Sweeping Broome County curbing roads and bridges
- Working on driveway replacements on Loughlin Road and Bevier Street
- Hand patching various Broome County roads with hot mix asphalt
- Prepping Cloverdale Road and Pixley Road for paving
The Highway Department will be:
- Paving on Cloverdale Road and Pixley Road Wednesday, May 15 (weather dependent)
Motorists are reminded to use caution in work zones, even when they are not active as some may be modified as constructions progresses. Slowing down is always the most effective way to keep yourself and workers safe. You may also want to give yourself extra time during commutes to accommodate for any detours or change in traffic patterns.
