Broome County's interactive mapper allows you to view your property and various types of flood information to assess your flood risk. Items that you can map include the currently adopted FEMA Flood Maps, FEMA's Preliminary Flood Maps (non-regulatory modernized flood risk), the approximate extent of the 2006 and 2011 major floods, and flood inundation maps. These maps are for informational purposes only and should not be used for legal purposes.

Flood Mitigation
Broome County administers County-wide hazard mitigation planning to assess the long-term flood resiliency of the County and identify projects to help improve our resiliency and mitigate known flood hazards (as well as other disasters). The County's Hazard Mitigation Plan and other related documents can be found here.
