(VESTAL, NY) Broome County Transit will resume collecting fares starting Monday, June 15, 2020. As part of the County’s response to COVID-19, fare collection was suspended in mid-March.
In addition, access to bus service through the front doors of the vehicles will reopen.
Elevated daily cleaning and disinfecting will continue, and throughout the day staff will be spot disinfecting frequently touched surfaces such as handrails, seat backs, and doors. Drivers will clean fare boxes as needed. Facial coverings are still required.
The Greater Binghamton Transportation Center (Intermodal) will reopen to commercial bus traffic on Monday, June 15, 2020 as well.
The Broome County Health Department urges you to stay home if you are sick and call your healthcare provider and/or use telemedicine if you experience COVID-19 symptoms.
