(TOWN OF DICKINSON, NY) Broome County Executive Jason Garnar announced Friday thathe is not renewing the ‘no unnecessary travel’ emergency order signed in March regarding theCOVID-19 pandemic.
All emergency orders are renewed every five days and as the State begins to move toward regional reopening the team at the Emergency Operations Center has come to the decision to let this order expire.
Broome County Officials remind you to stay home whenever you can, maintain social distancing, and wear masks in public as required by the state.
Additionally, while most Broome County Facilities remain closed, effective immediately in line with state orders, all visitors to county facilities will be required to wear a facial covering.
At today’s update, County Executive Garnar also announced this week’s Broome CountyCOVID-19 Community Champion, Justin Norkaitis. Norkaitis organized a virtual concert for Facebook and Instagram to raise money for the Maine-Endwell M-EALS program.
