On Monday Broome County Executive Jason Garnar announced the Broome County COVID-19 Community Champions campaign to showcase members of our community who are stepping up and making a difference as we get through this pandemic.
This week’s Community Champion is Kelly Mellander. Mellander is a professional photographer who has been taking “front step” family portraits, while practicing proper social distancing, capturing this unique time in our lives and only asking for a donation to the Community Hunger Outreach Warehouse (CHOW) in return. Through the Broome County Front Steps Project she has raised more than $5,000 for CHOW.
