(PORT CRANE, NY) Broome County Executive Jason Garnar, Judi Hess of Visit Binghamton, and Beer Tree Brew Co came together to announce the details of the 2019 Beer Tree River Float event coming up on Saturday, August 10th, 2019.
“Visit Binghamton is excited that the Beer Tree River Float will return this summer,” said Judi Hess, Director of Visit Binghamton. “This unique event has proven to be quite popular with visitors and residents alike. We love that the float also helps to encourage people to enjoy our natural resources.”
“This is a fantastic, family-friendly event and I encourage all Broome County residents to attend,” said Broome County Executive Jason Garnar. “Thank you to Visit Binghamton and Beer Tree Brew Co for all their hard work on the River Float event. It’s events like this one that make Broome County a great place to live.”
On August 10 you will be able to bring your inner tubes, kayaks, rafts or canoes for a trip down the Chenango River. Attendees will drop their chosen vessel off in the Launch Zone at Chenango Valley State Park, drive back to Beer Tree Brew Co, and park in the event parking area. Shuttles will then take floaters back to the launch zone to begin a leisurely float down the Chenango River back to the Beer Tree after party for live music and food from Fox & Farmer. Launch times are from 11 a.m. to 2:50 p.m. and the after party will take place from 12 p.m. to 10 p.m.
“We are excited to host another great event to bring the community and surrounding areas together, for a fun day on the river," said Brendan Harder of Beer Tree Brew Co.
Float tickets are $10 and include free entry to Chenango Valley State Park for equipment drop off, the shuttle from Beer Tree Brew Co. to Chenango Valley State Park, and free entry to the Beer Tree Brew Co. After Party. There will be a $5 cover charger for anyone who would like to attend the after part that is not a ticketed floater.
Live music at Beer Tree Brew Co will include:
Kevin & Bradford from 12 p.m. – 2 p.m.
Grove Method from 2 p.m. – 5 p.m.
Krooked Knuckles and Walking Distance from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
