Summer 2025 Training Series
All Broome County and Tioga County officials, staff, Planning Board and Zoning Board members are welcome to join the Broome County Planning and Economic Development Department and our partners for our Summer 2025 Municipal Training Series with our trainings taking place on Thursday June 26th from 4:30PM to 7:30PM.
These trainings will be in-person at the Cornell Cooperative Extension Auditorium located at 840 Front Street #2, Binghamton, NY 13905. The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) will present about Part 1: New Freshwater Wetlands Regulations and Part 2: Introductory Course on Floodplain Management
Course Descriptions
New Freshwater Wetlands Regulations: DEC (0.5 hour of PB and ZBA training credit)
Introductory Course on Floodplain Management: DEC (1.5 hour of PB and ZBA training credit, Code Officers 1-hour In-Service training credit)

All Planning Board and Zoning Board of Appeals members will receive credit hours and a certificate for attending following this training event. Light refreshments and water will be provided.

In Partnership with the Cornell Cooperative Extension of Broome County we present our Summer 2024 Agricultural Municipal Training!
This summer we hosted a municipal training in partnership with Cornell Cooperative Extension of Broome. In total we trained about 35 of our municipal officials representing local zoning boards, code enforcement boards, planning boards or other interested parties.
