Scott Baker (R) was first elected in 2012, and was re-elected to a new term representing Legislative District 2 in 2022. District 2 includes the Towns of Sanford and Windsor, part of the Town of Kirkwood and the Villages of Deposit and Windsor.

Scott’s legislative duties will have him serving as Chairman of the Public Safety & Emergency Services Committee, and a member of the Finance and Public Works & Transportation Committees.

Scott strives to be a strong voice for the Towns of Kirkwood, Windsor and Sanford in the Broome County Legislature. His goal is to limit tax increases to our residents and lower the debt that has crippled Broome County government.

Previously, Scott worked as a Paramedic with Superior Ambulance of Binghamton and Rural Metro of Scranton, Pennsylvania. Currently, he is employed as a Paramedic with Barnes-Kasson Hospital, Susquehanna, PA.

Scott currently serves as Assistant Chief and a Board Member of the West Windsor Fire Company, where he has been a member for the last 22 years. He is a member of the West Windsor Baptist Church where he and his family have worshipped for over 25 years.

Scott is a graduate of Windsor High School. He attended both Davis College and Broome Community College. Scott, his wife Lucy, have three children and live in the Town of Windsor.
